Today we are going to look at the proposed Enbridge pipline and how it relates to economics and how it ties into First Nations Land Claims.

1. Briefly outline some of the major concerns and benefits of the pipeline.

2. What are the Alberta oil sands?

next look at this link showing existing and proposed pipelines. It also shows the Keystone pipeline which is a very controversial proposal in the U.S. link

3. Is there anything that you find surprising or interesting about this map.

4. Given the number of (these very expensive) pipelines that go into and out of the oil sands, what does that tell you about the economic incentives for removing oil (non-renewable)?
5. Now that you have more information, what is your opinion on the pipeline. Should it be built and why? Should we not build it, why? (Paragraph)
